Party at the Gym!! :)

Happy Birthday Cailey!!!!!

This past Saturday Hunter was invited to Cailey's 6th birthday party at the Gymnastics Sports Center and we were excited to go!! :)  Well to be completely honest...Hunter was super excited to go while I was a little bit nervous!  Ben and I haven't been to the gym since we stepped down from coaching the all star cheer teams at GSC.  I think my heart was going to beat out of my chest when we pulled up.  I was afraid the owners were going to be there.  I still don't know what they would say to us...kick us out?? ask us how things are going and act like nothing happened??...I'm not sure.  Honestly I'm glad we didn't have to find out on Saturday.  Instead we had a great time watching all the kids run around and play!  It was so much fun to watch Hunter and the other kids from our life group jump and play.
As most of you know i LOVE being at a gymnastics gym!!!!  It is home!  It brings back so many good memories!  I LOVE the smell! ( I know i'm a little crazy...who likes the smell of chalk and feet?!?!  Oh yeah ME!!!!)  I don't know just being at the gym can make a rainy day all sunny to me!  I soooo enjoyed watching Cailey play.  She is such a cute, sweet little girl.  I hope Maggie likes the gym, because if not...I don't know what i'll do! :)  Here a few pics from the party!  Thank you Ingrams for inviting us!  We had a blast! :)

Ohh...by the way I think my son has a crush!  He did walk right up to Cailey during the party and tell her Happy Birthday and then he said "You look pretty today"!!!!!  I can't believe it!  She is super cute!  And by the way I think our life group has the cutest kids! :)

MLK Weekend

What a great weekend!!!
We had such a wonderful weekend this past weekend. We didn't know Daddy had the day off until he come home from on work on Friday. We were all so excited. Saturday was a much needed lazy day! We all slept late and hung around the house all day. Sunday started out ruff. We still haven't gotten used to have 2 kids on Sundays. We (mainly me) need to get up a little earlier. We made it to church but there was NO seats left...so we worked in the nursery. (We can't wait to get into the new building!!) We always enjoy working in the nursery, but this Sunday we want to go to church!!! Then Sunday night we went over to the Etter's to celebrate Uncle Richard's birthday!! Happy Birthday Richard! We love you! It was so good to see our friends and Baby Owen!! So much to be thankful for!
Monday we got up and Maggie and I made blue berry muffins. She sat in her bumbo and smiled and smiled! :) Then we headed off to the park. While Maggie and I ran a lap Daddy and Hunter played at the playground. Then we all went to say hello to the prairie dogs. Hunter started to get hungry so we went back to the house to eat a fast lunch. Then it was on to the Zoo. Hunter loves the Zoo! And this was Maggie's first trip! She was awake most of the time. Hunter was NOT happy about leaving (he needed a nap!!!). He really wanted to play at the playground by the Zoo! As we were driving by to go home he said, "Look there is a spot right there! You can park right there and I can play". We didn't play. He was too tired! We ended our wonderful Monday be going to Lifegroup! It was our first meeting back since the Holidays and it was so great to see everyone! We are so excited about the new year and what the Lord has for us and our group.
We had such a great weekend! Thank you Lord for time at home with family and friends! Here are a few pictures from this weekend! :)

What an amazing Christmas!!!

I'm sorry it has been soo long since our last post. I'm not a very good blogger! :( We had an amazing Christmas this year! Wow! Where do I start...

Coach and Honey were able to come and spend Christmas with us and they got here just in time. IT SNOWED!!!! Not just a little snow...like over 6 inches of the white stuff! We had heard there might be a possibility of snow, but did not think we would wake up to it on Christmas Eve! Thank you Lord!!! It was an early Christmas present! Hunter LOVED it! He made snow angles with Honey, built a snowman, and had a snow ball fight! It was such a good snow we had a REAL White Christmas right here in Abilene.
Hunter was super excited about Santa this year. He knew what was going on this year. He also knew why we were celebrating Christmas. "It's Jesus' birthday!" He would walk around singing Happy Birthday Jesus and many other Christmas songs. So sweet!
Christmas Eve night we ate dinner and watched our new favorite Christmas movie, "Prep and Landing" and made cookies for Santa. Hunter had to make Santa chocolate chip cookies and leave him some pink milk. He was so excited!
On Christmas morning he was very excited to see what Santa had brought. He got his camera!!!! He had been telling us for months about how he wanted a camera to take pictures of Maggie from Santa. He loved all his toys! He would open something or find something under the tree and then not want to open anything else. I think he would have been fine with just one present. :) Such a sweet boy!!! Maggie got a teddy bear from Hunter and a new dolly from Santa. She was so excited she fell asleep while opening her presents! :) The rest of the day we hung out with family. It was so nice! We are so blessed!
Nanna, Grumpy and Uncle Dav came for New Years! Hunter was super excited to see everyone! We had a wonderful time with them, too! Hunter got his Handy Manny Tool Work Shop! He was sooo excited! He had watched the handy manny commercial every morning and really wanted that tool shop! Maggie got some much needed clothes and a cute dolly from her Nie-Nie. We were sad she couldn't be with us!!! :( We enjoyed the weekend with Nanna, Grumpy and David!
We had such a wonderful Christmas and New Years! The Lord is soo good! We are so thankful for our family! We are so thankful for 2 wonderful kids and such loving parents! Life couldn't get much better than this!

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving 2009

We have a lot to be thankful for this year! The Lord has blessed us with a beautiful baby girl, Maggie. She was 5 weeks old the day after Thanksgiving. Hunter is also such a wonderful blessing! He is so much fun! Who ever said 2 year old were terrible didn't know Hunter! He is amazing! He makes us laugh everyday! I am so thankful for my loving husband who works so hard at his job and is such a wonderful daddy to our kids. We also have an amazing family! Hunter's grandparents and aunt and uncle are the best! We are truly blessed!

This year the we hosted thanksgiving at our house! It was really nice to not have to travel for a change. Grumpy, Nanna, Nie-Nie and Uncle David came to celebrate with us. We had a great time. We took a few pictures as you can see below with them. They also gave us an early Christmas gift...a new kitchen table! We love it!

Another big blessing is 2 of our dear friends had babies...on the same day!! The Etter's had baby Owen and the Hay's had baby Logan on Tuesday and were able to go home on Thanksgiving. They are both such sweet friends. We are so glad to have them in our lives.

Here is Maggie's boyfriend, Owen Lee Etter, with his Daddy, Mitchell! The Etter's are such sweet friends! We love them and are so excited to finally see Owen!!!

ICE

ICE The Grinch at The Gaylord Texan

Honey took us to the Gaylord on our way back to Abilene to see ICE. It was a lot of fun. Hunter loved it! It was 9 degrees inside, but it really didn't feel that cold. Hunter looked so cute in his XL jacket! :) He wanted to get his hands out but we couldn't even reach them. When we walked in it was snowing! Hunter thought that was awesome! :) We have read him the Grinch and he has seen the movie, so he remembered who he was. He really liked Max the dog. Near the end there was a big ice slide. I didn't know if Hunter would do it or not, but he did! And he loved it! We had such a great time! Maggie slept in my jacket. I think she was warmer than all of us! We had a great time! Afterwards we watched the movie and Hunter got a rice crispy treat and then it was back to the road. Thanks Honey for taking us! We really enjoyed it! We have been reading the Grinch every night since then! :)

All this was ice!!
Here goes Hunter down the ice slide!

Trip to Honey and Coaches' house

Waving Hi! :)

Playing in the messy sand! He's such a boy!
So cute! :)

This past week Hunter, Maggie and I were in Gainesville with my mom. We had such a great time just relaxing at her house and playing in the sand. Hunter loves being at Coach and Honey's house. He loves playing at his sand table, going to see the goats next door, riding his tricycle, and throwing rocks. He and my Mom hunted bears, dragons and who knows what else outside. He has such a great imagination. Maggie had a good time, too. Thank you Mom for having us all week. And for taking us to get ice cream almost every night! :)
