Gone Huntin'

Lately every time we go in the backyard Hunter has to go hunting.  He looks all around the yard for his "deer horns" aka tree branches. :)  The other day he found some horns and then had to pose for a picture just like Coach.  

And here is deer number 2!  I can't wait until he gets to go real deer hunting with Coach one day.  For now he'll just keep practicing! :)

So what is this sweet girl doing while Hunter is busy hunting??

Eating chalk!!  Healthy... huh?!  Yesterday she kept putting chalk on the t-ball tee using no hands!! Wow! =)

Hello!  My name is Katie Jennings and I am addicted to ribbon. :)  This past week I was determined to finish my spring wreath... mainly because I was tired of the Valentine wreath hanging on the door.  So this weekend, I finished it!! 

Now I just need to fix the Valentine frame on the mantel and Hunter and I need to make something to hang on the white door to the back yard.  

Also I wanted to introduce you to a new family member...

Please meet Lemonade (pronounced a little differently by his owner, Hunter)!  Now he is my kind of dog... doesn't shed, doesn't make messes in the house, and sleeps all night long.  Now if only the batteries would run out a little faster... he barks a lot!  Hunter and Maggie love him!  He had to go with Hunter and I to the grocery store last night.  I have to say... I kind of like this little guy! :)

Now on to Maggie... Have you ever wondered how you are supposed to feed your baby?  Well let me show you...

Maggie likes to feed her babies in the eyes. 

Both babies are fed like this.  I don't really know why.  She knows where her mouth is and she knows how to feed herself.  Let's hope she figures out where the bottle goes before baby number 3 gets here or we may have a problem. :)

Oh and she likes to take a little drink now and then, too! 

So are you ever bored and wondering... hummm I wonder what Hunter is doing?  Well let me show you...

If we are not outside 9 times out of 10 he is playing with his animals!

He LOVES them!  

I love to watch him play!  Today his favorite animal is his Bambi!

Let's go fly a kite!

Are you singing the song, yet???

We ended our spring break flying our kite! 

Hunter had been wanting to fly a kite ever since he saw Mary Poppins for the first time.  He was super excited!

And where better to fly a kite... at Coach and Honey's where there is always wind (sometimes to much) and not many trees.

Daddy took a turn while Maggie and Hunter picnic outside with Honey.

This is how Hunter preferred to fly his kite! :)

It was a good kite... the wind got it on the next day.  :(

I didn't think we had such a busy morning this morning, but...

Mags was pooped! :)

We didn't do that much really... played in the house, went to the post office, went to the park, and then to Target for some diapers.  When I got her out of the car I thought she was going to stay awake, but she walked to this mat and was out!

Happy 17 months Maggie Moe! :)

Spring Break 2011: Day 4

Happy Saint Patricks Day!!

So we don't really celebrate Saint Patty's day (I mean what are you really supposed to do on St. Patty's Day anyway?)... but we do wear green! :)  

Hunter liked his t-shirt.  He kept saying, "Kiss me!  I'm Irish!"

Here's Maggie!  Her shirt was sparkly.  It was cuter than Hunter's, but only because it had glitter.  She was playing peek-a-boo with me during this picture. 

"Oh, do you want to see my bow?"

It was super easy to make, by the way! :)

I loved their shirts and I am totally sold on Freezer paper!  I will post about how I made them soon.  So easy and fun!!! :)

Now on to the Ft. Worth Zoo!!!

So we got up and headed to Ft. Worth this morning.  It was such a pretty day and I think everyone decided to go to the zoo today. But we had a great time anyway! 

Okay here is Hunter sitting in the window looking at this guy...

Then all of sudden this little fellow banged on the window!!!  Everyone screamed and Hunter came running to me crying.  :( Hahaha Now this is one trip he won't forget. :)

Next time we hope this guy is sitting next to the window.  He didn't do anything!!

And we did see the penguins!  Maggie was talking to this little one! 

I just love penguins!  They used to have them at the North Park Mall during Christmas.  I wish they would bring them back!  

And here we are on the walk to the car after a great day at the zoo!  

We had such a great time, but I do have to say after going here...

nothing can compare!  The Animal Kingdom is amazing!!! 

I can't believe it is already Thursday... this week is flying! 

Spring Break 2011: Day 2

Why the Hollywood sign, you might ask?  Because Hunter, Maggie and Logan shot a commercial yesterday.  They might just be famous one day! :)  Haha  

Really, Ben's work needed some kids for the...

commercial and we got the call! :)  I thought they only needed Maggie and Logan, but they taped Hunter, too!  He was wearing his Longhorn jersey.  I would have dressed him better had I known!  oh well! :)  He would have picked the Colt McCoy jersey anyway.  

What else did we do yesterday... well Honey is here so the kids played and played!  I also made them their Saint Patty's Day t-shirts.  I will post them soon!

Spring Break 2011: Day 1

This weekend Uncle David, Dog (David's dog) Brooke and Dots (Brooke's cat) came for a visit.  Hunter had been counting down the days to see Uncle David all week!  We had a great time!  Hunter loves dog.   He had fun playing with him!  

We let Hunter watch Davy Crockett!  I grew up watching this movie with my friend, Justin.  Hunter was a little scared during the Indian parts, but he loves it!  I forgot how violent this movie was, but we have talked about it.  Now he sings the song ALL the time!  Today he was Davy! :)

Now you can understand what he was wearing today...

It started off really cold here in Abilene, but by the afternoon we were able to play outside! 

We played a little t-ball! 

Way to go Hunter!!

Maggie watched in her swing!  She was saying "weee"! 

Then she decided she needed to play a little t-ball, too!  

Does anyone want this ball??

Ben even played a little pecan ball. 

We had a great afternoon playing outside!  Thank you Lord for spring!!!
