A short Vacay....

We went to Gainesville this past weekend to see my sweet Grammy!  It really seemed like a short vacation to me.  There is something about being at my parents house that is relaxing.  Ben and I got to go by ourselves to see Grammy.  We even ate at my favorite place...
We really wanted to go see Tangled too but it wasn't playing.  :(  That's okay!  It was just nice to be kids free for a few hours with my wonderful husband.

We had a great time seeing Grammy!  I love her so much.  We are all praying she gets to feeling better really soon!

So what did Hunter and Mags do in Gainesville??
umm road the Gator of course!!

This is a real picture.  I ran along side because they don't come with seat belts and I didn't want Maggie to fall out.  She didn't really like riding that much, but Hunter LOVED it!!  He is such a great big brother!  He really wanted her to ride with him. :)

Me and Maggie after she decided she didn't want to ride anymore.

Hunter has a friend in Gainesville named Cole (sometimes called Cole Guy) and his grandmother, Tot, gave Hunter this snack bag for the gator.  He was so excited.  He had to take a cookie in his bag while riding.  He was so funny!  He would ride for a minute then stop get a bite of cookie and ride on.  So cute!  He LOVES the snack bag Tot!  Thank you!

It was a very short visit, but exactly what we needed!  Thank you Coach and Honey!

MLK Day

Okay so I am finally posting about MLK day... only because I have been wanting to post other things, but ohh so hate to post out of order. So...What did we do on MLK last Monday???  I know it's killing you to find out... haha :)
We raked A LOT of leaves!!!
Look at that sweet little girl!  By the way it was in the 70s that Monday!  It made us ready for spring!!!

Now I have to tell you Ben raked most of the yard.  He was out there forever while I was cleaning the inside of the house.

What can I say... it was a trashy day.
Really it was a great day!!  But we did get over 16 bags of leaves pilled high in the truck!

Baby it's cold outside!

Okay... normally I like to post events in order.  This is way I have not posted anything this week.  I am still waiting on getting a couple of pics off or a certain camera so that I can blog about them.  So... instead of waiting I decided to post a few pics from yesterday. :)

You see it was FREEZING yesterday...
And we all had to bundle up!  Everyone at school was talking about how cute Maggie looked in her coat!  So I had to send out a picture, although she really looked cuter in person!  Once she noticed everyone was talking about her she had to walk all they way down the hall and stop at all the classrooms to see if anyone was in the room so she could be noticed. :)

Here she is walking down the hall.  She walked all the way out to the car that day! :)  Oh and don't worry... the hat was not bothering her at all.  She likes how it tastes! :)

Everybody Mobe (Move with a "b" instead of a "v"

Okay in my car I only listen to Air 1 with the kids because Hunter can pick up on any song so quickly!  I would much rather him be singing about our Heavenly Father rather than anything or anyone else.  Well he can sing lots of the songs played on Air 1 now and his favorite at the moment is NY 2 LA by Press Play.  It is sooo funny to hear him sing!  We downloaded this song this weekend and have been dancing to it ever since!  Maggie does the Maggie dance to it, too!

This weekend was a good one.... well we thought Ben was coming down with the flu, but by Saturday evening he was feeling much better! :)  Sunday we made it to church... then lunch... followed by naps for all!  It was so nice!

Hunter went to Cubbies Sunday night.  He loves Cubbies and I am so thankful that he does!  When I went to pick him up his teacher stopped my and said that they had quizzed the kids on the previous 6 weeks. She was amazed at Hunter.  He knew ALL of the answers!  He really does love God's word!  He picks up on his verses so quickly!  I am so proud of him!

Anyway... we have school tomorrow!  We are praying for some snow!  We saw a few flurries earlier... :)

Ohh and here are a few crafts I did this weekend...
my snowball wreath...

and I finally made Maggie's growth chart!  Hunter has had one since before he turned 1.  I was a little late with Maggies.  Not to worry.... she is still tiny and just a little past the first pink line! :)  Ben was laughing saying she will probably use this her whole life.  He doesn't think she will be over 5 feet tall! :)

Happy Monday, everyone!

Ladies and Gentlemen...

Hunter can now ride his bike!!!!!!!
Hunter told me on Thursday that Friday was going to be 'bike day', and it was!  For those of you who don't know... Hunter got his Buzz Lightyear bike for his birthday in June.  He got on to ride it thinking he would just take off with no problems at all.  Well when he found out he couldn't do it right away... he was done!  He would rather ride his scooter and not even try his bike.
Well Maggie got this giraffe that you peddle and I think right now Hunter likes it more then she does.  He gets on it and rides away.  (She still really likes to push the buttons!!)  I think it really helped him learn to peddle.
I have to help him get started but off he goes!!  Yay Hunter-man!!!

And Maggie likes to push the "motorcycle" around! :)

And she really likes her little pink coat, too!  Thanks Nana!

Last bit of Christmas

Okay I have been waiting for Ben to bring his awesome work camera home so that I could get our Christmas pictures off of the disk... so here is our Christmas...

Hunter's tree :)

The kids art from school and home... and the elf :)

Stocking hug with care

Hunter's "counter downer"

The mantel... next year I am going to add some garland.  Oh and we couldn't hang the stocking from the regular hangers because we were afraid Maggie would pull them down on herself.  Ouch! Maybe next year!

Maggie's tree
banner

Nativity (Ben doesn't like it because there is no manger.)
Our house outside

Our tree... we didn't get a good picture of it this year :(

Hunter with the tree

Mags with the tree

Maggie loved this snowflake from the Flints.  She always pulled it off the tree and carried it around.

We headed to Gainesville on Christmas Eve, Eve.  As Hunter said, "The Christmas lights are going to light us a path to Honey and Coach's house!"

Christmas Eve we just relaxed and then ate a yummy Christmas dinner.
Maggie kept getting under this table!  She liked to sit there and drink her juice :)

After dinner we made our cookies for Santa like we do every year.  Chocolate Chip cookies, Santa's favorite.

Hunter was a big help!
After we made cookies we went to see some Christmas lights, took baths, and fixed the reindeer their food.

It was so funny.  Hunter kept spilling the carrots.  So cute! :)

Santa's milk (not pink)

We thought Santa and his reindeer would like what we left. :)
Santa came!!!

Wow!!!

They both were excited... well Hunter was!  He knew what was going on.  Hunter was so excited about his new guitar.  He went for that first!

Maggie was more interested in the 1/2 cookie Santa left.  :)

She also LOVED her big Minnie! (notice the cookie still in her hand)
More presents for Hunter...

Santa brought him this cool animal thing.  He loves it!

with his new nerf gun and target with glasses

Mags with her Charlie

and back under the table with Minnie this time! (and some chocolate on her face from the cookie)
The cookie was a big hit! :)

Then Hunter got to see his big present from Coach and Honey...
A Gator just like Cole guy!  He was so excited, but it was sooooo cold!  He tried to ride it, but it was just too cold.

After breakfast we went to see family in Van Alstyne!  I wish we would have taken pictures!!! :( So sad!  The next day we had Christmas with Great Granddad.  And Hunter got to ride his gator...
off he goes...

Go Hunter Go!

He got really good by the end of the afternoon!

He is ready to go back and drive some more!

Maggie and Luke :)

Monday we got up early, early and headed to Houston to see Nana, Grumpy, Nie-Nie, Uncle David and Baby Gracie.  Hunter was so excited!!
After we got there and had lunch and napped Hunter and Nie Nie made Texas snowmen cookies.

He thought he was so big helping Nie-Nie.

He picked out everyones snowmen and their color of scarf.

Then he helped put the nose on.

Here they are!

And he had to eat the head off first! :)
Then it was off to presents...
Maggie looking at all her presents!

Uncle David helped Hunter open his presents.  Hunter LOVES Uncle David!!!

Everyone opening...

Maggie like Hunter's new Buzz phone.

Hunter was super excited about his Shaun the Sheep book!!!

And Maggie likes her giraffe!

Nana with sweet Gracie!

Okay so I am sooooo sad we didn't take many pictures at Nana and Grumpy's!!  It makes me so sad!  We had a wonderful visit.  Next time we will take more pictures!
