Batter up!

Today was Hunter's first t-ball practice and boy was he excited!  I think he told everyone at school and when we got home t-ball is all he talked about!  He could not wait!

Hunter and Daddy walking out to his field.  We are the purple Rays team!

The first thing the kids did was circle up and introduce themselves.  They were to say their name and then say something they like.  Most of the kids were a little shy, but not Hunter!  He said, "My name is Hunter and I like football!" :)  That's our boy!
Next up was a little stretching...

and then time to run the bases!

Hunter ran super fast!  I think he liked this the best.
After running the bases they played in the field for a little bit.  They worked on fielding the ball and throwing it to first base.  Then it was time for batting.  Hunter stayed in the field for a little bit and waited his turn.
Here he is with his friend Emma.  They were in the ready position... ready to get the next ball hit their way! :)
And they had to talk to each other a little bit. :)
Here is Hunter with Coach Mike.  He really likes Coach Mike by the way!  I am so glad!
Go Hunter-man!  Here he is running home! :)
He was the only one to hit the ball into the outfield, by the way. :)
After batting it was time to be done.  All the kids came in and Coach Mike asked if anyone had any questions.  Well Hunter raised his hand.  He told everyone he really liked running the bases.  Then they all put their hands in and yell a GO RAYS!

I am so excited that Hunter likes t-ball.  We really didn't know how he would do or if he would really like it.  He LOVES it!  He listened and tried to do exactly what Coach Mike told him to do.  We are are excited about this season and watching Hunter play.  Go Rays! :)

Oh and what about Maggie... she loved playing outside and cheering on her brother.

He is Risen!!

We had such a great Easter!
This year Nana, Grumpy, Nie-Nie (aka Jayne), Gracie, Uncle David, Brooke, and King Charlie came to our house for a visit.  We had such a great weekend!  We played and played.
On Saturday, Hunter, Maggie and Gracie put on their peep shirts and we tried to get a good picture...

I will say it is hard to get a good picture with both a 8 1/2 month old and an 18 month old. :)  But we got a few cute ones!
Here is a sweet one of Miss Gracie!  She's waving to you!

We had a great day Saturday just hanging out and enjoying family.  Then Sunday morning we got up... saw what the Easter Bunny brought and headed off to church.

I do have to say we made it to church with time to spare!  And it wasn't even the late service... pretty good for 10 ppl in a 2 bathroom house!

The service was awesome!  If you missed church this week you should go to www.beltway.org and listen to ours.  It was great!

Then after church we had our egg hunt...
Maggie was really good at hunting eggs!  She was better than Hunter at first.

Once her basket was about full she was done and ready for something new.

This sweet boy got an 'egg grabber' thing and used it the whole time!

Even Gracie picked up a few eggs! :)

Hunter had to get the egg off the t.

Maggie and King Charlie!  Isn't he cute!  Just her size... she loves him!

Hunter almost made me cry on the way to church.  Ben was talking to Brooke and David while I was sitting in the back with the kids.  I leaned over to Hunter and asked him what Easter was really about.  I want him to know it is NOT about bunnies and candy and let me tell you he knows.  He told me the whole Easter story.  He didn't just say Jesus died on the cross and then rose on Easter Sunday.  No... he said that there were 2 ladies going to clean Jesus' body, but when they got to the tomb He was gone.  He said there was an angle who told them Jesus is risen!  I am so thankful that he gets it!  He knows it's not just a time to get candy and gifts.  He knows we celebrate Easter because Jesus is alive!

After some egg hunting we pulled out the blanket to take some more pictures.  As soon as we got it out Maggie ran over, sat down and said cheese!  Here she is... "Cheese!!!"

My sweet Maggie Moe!

We tried to get a good one with Nana and Grumpy but it was getting close to lunch.

We tried to get one of us, too.  I have been wanting to get a good picture of all of us for a while now.  It's just hard!

I will leave you with a picture of King Charlie!  Isn't he cute!!  Now everyone knows I am NOT a dog person... but I think I could handle this sweet doggie.  He was so sweet.  Maybe one day...

Happy Birthday, Coach!!!

Last weekend was Coach's birthday!  We won't say how old he is, but we had a good time celebrating with him!  Saturday morning Maggie and Hunter jumped in Coach's lap to watch Mickey Mouse.   We love you Coach and hope you had a great birthday!

Sunday morning we had an Easter egg hunt.  It was so much fun!  Maggie really liked finding eggs.

Hunter was so sweet and left some eggs for Maggie.  He is such a good big brother!

Once we found the eggs around the house, Hunter jumped in his gator to find more eggs.
Yay! Hunter-man!

Maggie and Honey road over on the golf cart.  Maggie was waving at the goats.

Hunter is a pro riding the gator!

Taking a little ride!

We had a great morning hunting Easter eggs!  When we came inside Maggie and Hunter played in the living room while, Honey and I were in the kitchen.  All of a sudden I didn't hear Maggie.  So we went in the living room to see what she was doing and...
She was asleep on the floor!  She has never done that before!  So sweet!!!

We had to leave right after lunch to make it back for Hunter's Cubbies at church.  We had such a great weekend!  Happy Birthday, Coach!  I hope you had as good of a weekend as we did!!  We love you!

Now that is more like it, but what you don't see is me leaning waaaay back as she sits in my lap for a picture.  So cute! Thank you Sandra for coming to get me so that we have a good picture! :)

98 degrees in April!

We had such a great weekend this past weekend.  I have been meaning to blog about it, but just didn't sit down and do it.  So anyway... here it goes!

Friday we had a great evening with good friends eating pizza and watching the kids play.  Then Saturday morning we woke up had breakfast and then...
the kids couldn't wait to get outside!

Maggie wanted to slide!!!

What a big girl!  She can do it all by herself!

And she picked up lots and lots of pecans.

Sweet hands

Lookin' for pecans.  She picked up a bunch and put them in a bucket. Thanks Mags!

Then talked on the phone for a while

Hunter finally came outside to play too.

I LOVE this picture!  He was playing in the basket goal house.

After playing for about an hour we decided it was time to...

get out the pool!  Hunter had been asking for weeks!  We ran some errands, ate lunch, and took naps while waiting for the water to get warm.
Hunter was the first one in.  "I love this pool!"

It was still a little cold for me and Maggie!
so she walked around in her flip flops!  She LOVES these shoes!  She would wear them all the time if we would let her.

And she played a little t-ball for a while.

So cool!

What is playing in the pool without water guns!  We were all shooting "dobes" (aka doves) with Hunter all afternoon.

He looks like he might just go swim underwater doesn't he??  Not this boy!  He doesn't like to get his head wet. :)

Once Maggie got used to the water she loved it!  She was sitting with Daddy in this picture.

When we finally got out of the pool we all had to dance to some Marry Poppins before going inside.

Here's Maggie dancing! :)

We had such a great Saturday, but that night we realized Maggie wasn't allergic to the new baby wipes I bought.  She had hand, foot, mouth disease.  Poor baby!  She is feeling much better now!
Over all we had a super weekend and we are ready for another! :)
