SpRiNg!!!

Hooray for Spring!!!  We are LOVING this weather!!!  Maybe not the wind, but the sunshine... YES!!!  On the way to school Hunter has been thanking God for the sunshine!  I LOVE to listen to his sweet prayers to our GREAT God!  Thank you Lord for such a sweet boy who already has a heart for you!

So what have we been doing every chance we get...

We have been having lots of picnics!  We all Love it!

Maggie likes to play and watch us eat. :)  She is such a sweet baby!

We are so thankful for our house with a great back porch!  We eat outside all the time!  Thank you Lord for this wonderful house with a great backyard and porch.

Maggie has been laughing and laughing!  She has been giggling like crazy!  We found out last night she loves to jump on the bed with Hunter.  She thought that was just the funniest thing!  We are so blessed!  She is such a happy baby!  She is sitting up by herself now and talking up a storm.  We love her so much!

Hooray for PhotoShop

So here it is, the rare post from the patriarch of the happy family:
I was sitting at my desk on Thursday going through my mental checklist of the tasks I needed to complete for the day when I came to a point where everything that needed to be addressed was taken care of and I could either start a new time consuming project that would spill over into Friday or use the last few minutes for what I like to call "professional development".   What I call professional development you may consider browsing on youtube.com, but I really am trying to better myself as an employee through watching photoshop tutorials.

Anyway this is what I learned!

It wasn't too hard so I did a few more...

They aren't perfect, but I am happy with how they look and thankful to expand my Photoshop repertoire.

What a crazy week!

This has been a busy, busy week to say the least.  I could blog about it, but instead here are some pics from today.  It was such a beautiful day!  We had to go outside!!  It was very windy, but we had a good time!
Hunter loved it when Maggie sat on him.

Maggie sitting up on the back porch!  She can sit up for a long time if she is not tired or getting blown away from the West Texas winds.

Thank you Nana and Grumpy for the ABC mat thingys!!!

Are her eyes going to stay blue??? :)

Hunter playing in his car.  He is so over getting his picture taken! :)

After naps Maggie was playing under her play gym and Hunter decided to play with her.  I really wish I could've gotten a really good picture of this.  It was so sweet!  They both were laughing at each other and talking.  Maggie was holding Hunter's hand and he was loving it!  We need a video camera. :)  Here are some of the pictures...

Maggie LOVING playing with her Bubba!

They love each other!

What a wonderful Friday!!  Thank you Lord for such amazing kids!

has it really been 5 months??!?

I can't believe my sweet Maggie girl is 5 months old today!!!  Since I left my camera in Gainesville here is the the most recent picture...

She weighs 14 lbs (50% on the growth chart) and is 23 1/2 in. long (25% on the growth chart).  She loves her hands and toes.  She can sit up for a little while by herself.  You just have to sit behind her because she might push herself back.  Hunter is her favorite and her best!  She is always smiling at him! :)  She is finally starting to grow out of her 0-3 months clothing.  She is doing amazing!  We are so blessed!!!!  WE LOVE YOU MAGGIE ROSE!!!

Ohh NO!!!

I forgot my...
in Gainesville.  It was plugged into the kitchen wall charging so I could take pictures this week. =(  I'm so sad!  I also wanted to show everyone pictures from the snow.  Yes, you read right!  It SNOWED on Saturday night in Gainesville.  It only snowed about 2 inches but the wind was sooooo bad there were 2 foot drifts at my parents house!  I didn't think I was going to be able to leave to come home on Sunday!  The hardest part of the trip was the drive way!  Coach was right!  I guess it's how their house sits on that hill.  It was crazy!! Anyway... we made it home just fine.  We were sooo glad to see Daddy!!!  He and Uncle Richard made it home about an hour after us.  Ben had a great time!  I'm so glad he got to go! But I am so happy to have him home!
This week is Business Expo for Ben so he is going to be very busy!  The good new... we don't have any plans for the weekend!!  Yay!  Oh how I LOVE weekends at home!
Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Spring in Lindsay

We are still in Lindsay, TX Spring breakin it!  We are having a great time, but Honey was sick all day yesterday.  She stayed in bed. :( We managed to get by but are so happy she is feeling better today.

Here are some things we did while Honey slept...
We went on a wagon ride... it was Maggie's first!!!  Don't worry I went super slow. :) (this is a pic from today's ride)

We played out on the porch...

We played in the sand. (Hunter did not want his picture taken.)

Here is another pic in the wagon on the way to see the...

Hunter was sad they did not "boom fight" for us. :(

After nap and dinner we went back out for a little bubbles!

Hunter was chasing those bubbles all over the place.

His little face was so red when we went inside.  He was pretending he was a dinosaur and would bite the bubbles! :)

Maggie sat and watched with her Coach!  She loves her Coach!!!

We had a great day, but we are glad Honey is well and able to play today!  We can't wait until Coach gets off work to play, too!

Ohh... and Daddy called us this morning!  He is having a good time with old friends, but he got stung by this last night!!!!

Yuck!!!  He is okay!  He did not have any type of reaction or anything.  Thank you Lord for taking care of Ben!!!

Now back to playing with kids and maybe a little shopping at...

Have a great day everyone!!

Sweet Hunter-man

Most people hate dandelions... I LOVE them when my Hunter-man brings them to me.

I don't know who told him you are supposed to take flowers to your Momma, but anytime he finds a flower he can pick, he does and he brings it to me!  Such a sweet boy!!!

Spring Break

Yay!!!  It's Spring Break!  Ben and some of his friends are going to a ranch this weekend to do guy things.  Really... I have no idea what all they will be doing and I don't really want to know.  Just as long as he comes home all in one piece I'll be okay.  So the kids and I headed to Lindsay on Tuesday afternoon.  The drive was looong, but not to bad.  Hunter did awesome!  He is great in the car!  Maggie did really well until we got to Saint Joe... then she had had enough of being in her car seat.  She screamed and screamed.  Hunter tried his very best to sing "Shoo Fly" to her but no luck.  She finally calmed down once she was in her Honey's arms. :)  We didn't do much after the long car ride.  We just played a little kick ball with Honey, tackled Coach a few times and chased Sugar a little.  Tuesday morning we got a call from one of Honey's sweet friends, Marsha.  She wanted us to come out to her house to play and eat lunch.  Her grandsons were there and wanted to see Hunter.  Hunter loves Cole and talks about him all the time so of course we would be over in a jiffy! Here are some pictures...
Hunter driving the tractor!  This was his first time to be on a power wheel.  He LOVED it!  But we do need to work on his driving skills :)

Here is Hunter with Harrison... So cute!  Hunter had never met Harrison.  He really like him!  Isn't he a cutie with that red hair!  All Hunter could talk about was Harrison and Cole when we got home. :)

They could ride all day...

Here is Cole.  Isn't he cute!  I can't believe he is already 4.  He is such a sweet little guy!  Hunter loves playing with him.  Hopefully we can get together this summer and the boys can play play play!

look at those serious faces... they were talking up a storm too

Hunter did ride with Cole too... I just didn't have the camera.

Next up... lunch!! Nothin better than corney dogs and cheetos! :)

Hunter had such a great time with Harrison and Cole!

Sick but Blessed

What a crazy week this has been!  It all started on Tuesday when Lil' Maggie Moe kept throwing up.  She had a stuff nose so I thought it was just drainage... boy was I wrong!  She didn't start running a fever until Tuesday night (after all the spit throw up).  So I took her to the doctor on Wednesday and that is when Dr. Wiley said the then funny thing. He said "Has Hunter had the stomach bug yet?"  He hadn't so then I started worrying about him getting the stomach bug.  Little did I know that we would ALL have it!
Yes, you read it right... WE ALL HAD THE AWFUL STOMACH BUG!!!!
Ben and I both got it Wednesday night and Hunter woke up with it on Thursday.  It was awful!  I haven't been that sick in sooo long... like maybe when i was in high school.  It was so bad.  But even through the storm of sickness God was so good.  Ben went to work (he didn't think he was that sick... lol).  He came back home after I called almost in tears around 9:30.  He was sick, too!  I was so glad to have him home.  Maggie did not wake up until after Ben got home.  You don't understand how amazing that is.  She is normally awake before Hunter, but this morning she just slept and slept.  I am so glad because I don't know how I would have handled her and puking Hunter.  I didn't have any energy myself.  The Lord took care of us!  Then after telling my Mom she did not need to come (I didn't want her to get sick) she drove all the way from Gainesville to our sick little house to help.  Thank you Lord for such a wonderful Mom!!  She was such a big help!  Hunter was not as sick as Ben and me (thank you Lord) so he was ready to play by 2 in the afternoon.  She played with him and watched Maggie so Ben and I could get some rest.  I don't know what we would have done without her!!
Thank you Lord for taking care of us.  Ohh... and Maggie will NOT be going to the nursery this Sunday! :)

Sorry to disturb your regular Saturday morning routine but... HUNTER WOKE UP DRY!!!!

Last night Hunter really wanted to wear big boy underwear to bed.  He has been wearing pull ups at night because he is just learning and Momma is already getting up with Maggie and didn't really want to get up to change sheets.  Anyway... we caved last night and let him try underwear and HE DID IT!!!  We are super excited!  YAY HUNTER!!!!

Maggie is afraid of...

Ben got on to me for not blogging about our trip home... So here it goes.

We were planning on going home (from Houston) on Saturday so we could be at our church on Sunday. We thought it would be perfect.  We left at 6:30 and thought the kids would sleep most of the way home.  Well Hunter fell right to sleep and Maggie was happy for a little while.  We stopped at my favorite place for some coffee on our way out of town...
Why don't we have one in Abilene?!?!??

By the time I got back in the car Maggie was crying.  So I thought I would go ahead and feed her and change her diaper since we had stopped.  Finally we got back on the road.
Then Maggie started screaming.  I felt so bad!  She had NEVER cried like that before.  So I got back in the back and tried to comfort her.  Poor little girl!  So we stopped again!  This time Hunter woke up and was hungry.  Then he needed to go to the potty and we couldn't find his shoes... needless to say we were at that gas station for a while.
Finally we looked down at the clock only to see it was 9:00.  We had been on the road for 2 1/2 hours and had only gone 62 miles!!!!!  At this rate we would be back in Abilene around 5 AM!!  So we decided the responsible thing would be to go back to Nana and Grumpy's and try it again in the morning.    We figured out Maggie is afraid of...

The dark.  We should have known.  Hunter was scared of the dark too!

Sunday morning we left Houston around 11 and made it home just fine!  We were super sad we missed church, but we got to spend one more night with Nana and Grumpy.  :)

The End :)  (Now Ben will be excited I told the story of the way home.)

Maggie and Nie Nie =) (I was going to post this pic in the last post but somehow didn't... so here it is!)

Are we there yet...

We went to Houston on Wednesday last week to see family.  Hunter was super excited to go to his Nana and Grumpy's house!  We were supposed to leave on Tuesday, but since we got a lot of snow we decided it would be safer if we left on Wednesday morning.  What did Hunter do during that 6 hour car ride you might ask...
Yep!  That's his potty!  Don't worry I cleaned it before we left! :)

We had a really great time.  Thursday we went to Nana school and watched her class sing some Texas songs for the preschool program.  Hunter was clapping and singing along.  On Friday we went to Nie-Nie's school and got to see her new school and meet her students.  We really enjoyed seeing what she gets to do everyday.  (She works with autistic kids.)   Wow!  I don't know how she does it everyday.  Then on Saturday we went to the park.  Hunter LOVED the park and I think everyone else did too!

Hunter LOVES to play soccer or "kick".  Look at that air!

Here he is with his Nana.

I love his picture.  Hunter also falls a lot... on purpose.  It's like part of the kick game.

Maggie in her Fozzy the bear jacket watching her Bubba.

He could have played kick ALL day, but we finally talked him into a little swing time.

And Maggie too! :)

She liked sitting in the swing.

On to the bugs...

They had these bugs that you could ride.  Hunter didn't like the lady bug much, but he loved the grasshopper.

And finally on the playground...

Mag Pie on the slide
We really had a great time in Houston.  It was a long car ride, but worth the trip!  Thank you Nana, Grumpy and Nie-Nie.  Hope to see you all again soon! Love you!!!
