Field Trip

Last Friday I was so excited to be able to go with Hunter on his first field trip!  Thank you, Honey for coming and staying with the littles so I could go!! 

We went to a place we have never been.... okay, I am lied.  We went to the Zoo!  The kids acted like the owned the place! :)

Each kid in Hunter's class has been working on a big animal report. They read their report in front of their animal.  Here is Hunter giving his American Alligator report!  Is it sad that I wished he was in front of Albert? (Albert is an old American Alligator that our kids have loved to see each trip to the Abilene Zoo.)

Here is Mrs. Hill's kindergarten class 2013-2014!  

They had a great time at the zoo and so did I!  It was so much fun to watch Hunter and the rest of his friends from school! :) By the way, Mrs. Hills is the best!!  She had a snack and water for each of the kids and she had quarters for them so they could feed the fish!  I am so thankful Hunter had her this year!!  She has been a huge blessing to all of us but especially to Hunter!

Howdy!  

I'm so late at posting this!  Life is crazy busy with the end of the year activities, but here is Maggie's spring program at preschool!!!  We LOVED watching her!!  It was so fun! 

If you can't tell her program had a western theme!  She was so excited to wear her sheriff vest and to have her Sheriff Callie rope!   

Maggie LOVES to sing and perform!  She did all the hand motions and really got into it! :)

We are so proud of Maggie!  She did a great job!!! 

After the program there were 4 different spots set up for photos.  Maggie had fun seeing her friends and taking pictures afterwards! 

If only someone could have brought a real horse!!!  Wouldn't that be cool!?

Oh you know... just sitting around the camp fire!

Maybe I'll catch up with blog posts sometime this weekend... we shall see! :) 

Hunter's Kindergarten Spring Program!

Hunter had been counting down the days until his school program since they started back to school in January!  He was so excited! And really, we all were excited!  I'm so thankful Ben and Honey were able to come and watch!  Here are some pictures and videos from his program! 

This is the song they started with and if you listen at the end you can hear a "Hi Bubba" from Archer! 

He was so excited he got to play the drums during one song! 

He was front and center in this song!  Maggie is still singing this song around the house! 

And here is the reason he is wearing all those buttons.  They sang a song called Tambourine Kid and so he was supposed to bring 70s things he could put on quickly.  I thought he would wear maybe one or two buttons... nope all 5! Love him so much!! 

He did so, so good!! 

We are so proud of Hunter!! 

I can't believe his kindergarten year is almost over!  We are so blessed by this little man!  Thank you, Lord for your many blessings! 

After the program we got to go back to Hunter's room and have cookies.  Maggie and Archer really liked this!

Ben and Honey were both really excited to meet Kinnick.  Hunter loves her!  She sits right across from Hunter and is the one friend he is always talking about.  He loves all his friends at school, but there is a special place in his sweet heart for Kinnick!  He is always praying for her.  Maggie was really excited to finally meet her, too!  

Way to go Hunter!!!  We are so very proud of you! 

AWANA Club Awards 2014

We love AWANA Club!!! 

I am so proud of both Hunter and Maggie for working so hard at Awanas this year!  

This was Maggie's first year as a Cubbie!  She did such a great job!!  She LOVED going every Wednesday and she enjoyed learning her verses and reading her workbook.  I am always amazing and how well the kids do at learning Bible verses!  

Hunter did an amazing job in Sparks this year, too!  He never missed a Wednesday night!  I was especially proud of him for repeating the same book this year.  In Abilene since he had already done 2 years in Cubbies he was allowed to move up to Sparks last year.  He did great last year and finished his book, plus a second book.  When we moved here we talked to the Awana leaders and they thought it would be best if he stayed with the kindergartners and repeated his book.  He never complained!  He did such a great job!  I'm so proud of Hunter!

Two award ceremonies was hard for this boy!  Here he is trying to be like Coach!  He sees a pencil and thinks this is what it is for... to go behind his ear! :) 

Next up... Sparks!!! 

Unfortunately we did not have good seats for the Sparks awards. :(  So the pictures are far away.

You know I am always so proud of Hunter and Maggie in whatever they do, but there is nothing like hiding God's word in your heart!!  We are ready for next year! 

Easter 2014

So it's been a super long time since I have blogged.  I'm sorry!  We have been super busy with lots of "end of school" activities.  So I'm going to try and get caught up this weekend before I get in further behind. :)  

So on to Easter weekend! 

We had such a wonderful weekend with family!  We are truly blessed beyond measure! 

So Friday, Hunter had school!?  They were off the Friday before Good Friday, but had school on Good Friday... I don't get it, but I was glad it was only half day because Nana and Grumpy flew in from Houston Friday morning!  Woohoo!  We were all so excited to see them!  We haven't seen them since Christmas! 

They were watching a little Mickey Mouse on my phone with Nana on Friday.  It was such a beautiful day!!!  Thank you Lord for the sunshine and warm weather!  It had snowed on Monday!  Crazy Kansas! 

Uncle David made it to Kansas on Saturday and boy were we excited to see him!! 

And his dogs! 

We had such a wonderful Saturday just hanging out at the house.  And guess what Grumpy made for me??  He build us a built-in trash can!  We no longer have the eyesore of our black trash can with the broken lid!  Now we just go to the island and pull out the trash drawer!  I LOVE it!!! 

Sunday morning the Easter bunny came to visit!!  He left the kids a basket full of special treats! 

They were all excited to get a chocolate bunny!

Next up it was time to go worship!!  

He is Risen!!  He is Risen, indeed!!!! 

So thankful we were able to go worship the King of Kings!

It was just about time for an Easter egg hunt before it starts to rain! 

Littlest man was excited and waiting for Daddy to say "Go"!

She just had to put on her new dress from Nana and Grumpy!  And I have to say it is one of her new favorites!!  She wears in all the time! (She wore it today!)

After 2 minutes of waiting, it was finally his turn!  He's the pro, ya know! :) 

He still found the most eggs!  Love that boy so much! 

After their egg hunt they each had to open and count all their eggs.  Maggie had to line all of her eggs up, too!  :) 

And I don't remember what these two were up to, but they were cute anyways! 

After naps and dinner it was time to color some eggs! 

They all did such a great job coloring eggs this year!  I wish I would have gotten a picture of the after eggs!  We all had fun! 

We had such a wonderful Easter weekend!  Thank you Nana, Grumpy and David for coming all the way to Kansas to celebrate our Savior with us!  We love you all so, so much and can't wait to see you again this summer!
