Easter!

We are so blessed!!  Sometimes it is hard to believe that God would send down his only Son to die for me... okay maybe most of the time it is hard to believe.  But it is true.  And he did.  And he died a very, very painful death on the cross for me and you!  Then he came back to life!!  What?  I know!  It's amazing!!!  And He is alive today!  Lord, thank you for saving me!  And thank you for giving me 2 wonderful kids to demonstrate your love!  

We spent Easter in Gainesville this year and had a great time!  Here are some pictures from the trip and I'll let you know about the Easter bunny too...

So Saturday morning my old church had an egg hunt at this park in downtown Gainesville, however it was not at the park.  It was across the street from the park in front of the Depot.  So we were late.  :(  I was going to be super sad for Hunter because all the eggs had already been found... until Krystle and Jana noticed us.  They took a few eggs from their kids basket and hid them just for Hunter!  THANK YOU Krystle and Jana!!!  Ya'll are amazing! :)

After we found some eggs Hunter told this very nice lady (a complete stranger to him) "The Easter bunny is gonna hop to Honey's house and hide these eggs for me."  :)  He was a little excited!!!

So Saturday night we met most of the family at Babe's in Sanger for dinner.  We had such a great time!  It was so good to see everyone!!!  Hunter got to meet Avery for the first time.  Avery is a few months younger than him and boy did they hit it off!  They were dancing, running, singing and playing ring around the rosie everywhere!  It was so cute!  I wish we would have had the camera earlier!  

At Babe's they have this huge chicken outside but there is a sign that says, "don't sit on the chicken".  Hunter couldn't stop talking about it!  He really wanted to sit on that chicken.  Hunter ordered a drink so he got a Babe's cup to take home and on the cup there was a chicken.  :)  Hunter kept saying (in his deep, serious voice) "See right there on that chicken?  It says Do Not Sit."  It was so funny!  

Hunter had to give Grammy Great and Avery a kiss when we left. 

When we got back from Babe's we colored some eggs.  This was Hunter's first time coloring eggs and he really liked it.  He did a really good job not splashing the dye when dropping in the eggs.

Finally Easter morning!  The Easter bunny did hop all the way to Honey's house!!

He had such a great time looking for eggs!  He really got into it this year.  Last year we were begging him to pick up eggs and this year he wouldn't let us touch them!  :)  

Now for the sad part... after finding eggs we got all dressed up and went to church, however we did not take pictures. :(  I know I am SUPER sad!!!  The kids looked so cute!  Don't worry... this Sunday Maggie is being dedicated to the church so we are ALL wearing our Easter outfits.  I WILL get pictures and post them!  Warning... Hunter looks super handsome and looks nothing like a baby and Maggie is just precious!  :( 

After lunch we rushed to the egg hunt in downtown Lindsay.

Ohh... and after the Lindsay hunt Hunter told us that the Easter bunny is going to go and hang out with Santa Claus.  :)  Where does he get this stuff!  It sounds right!

We had a great time!  Next year Maggie will be in on the fun of finding eggs.  Watch out Hunter! :)

This week...

We have been having such a a great week!  I have been meaning to blog more, but some how I haven't... I'm sorry!  I'll try to do better! :)

So what have we been doing...

Let's see... We have been playing outside as much as we can.  Yesterday Hunter and I played football, soccer, blew some bubbles and fought "Packin Hook" with out swords in the backyard while Maggie did this...

Now this might sound crazy, but Hunter is all of a sudden very interested in reading.  I know he is only 2 and he doesn't know all of his letters yet, but when we read he points to the words and asks over and over what they say.  He also likes to write his name.  It's mainly just a bunch of scribble but he wants to write.  I don't know... we might have a reader by the age of 4!?!?!

I know its not the best picture of Hunter-man but you can kind of see his baseball shirt. (He is not into getting his picture taken right now so getting a good picture is kind of hard.)

 Last night we had a baseball game and Hunter got to go!  He was so excited.  We tried to get him to put his shirt on the right way, but he insisted that he wear it backwards "I wanna see me name".  He is number 1/2 and the cutest one on the team!  He was cheering on his Daddy last night!  He ran up to give Daddy a hi-five after Daddy hit a home run (He hit 2 last night!!!!)  Yay Daddy!!!  What a sweet boy.  He also got to hunt these today at school...

He was soooo excited!  We went to Target on Tuesday night to get eggs for his class.  He picked them out all by himself and picked out some Kisses to put inside.  When we got home he sat down in the middle of the floor and filled every egg.  He was so proud.  When I woke him up on Wednesday the first thing he asked was if he got to go to school and give is friends his eggs. :)  So sweet!!!  I think he had a good time at school today!! :)

While Hunter was at school I got to play with Logan and Maggie!

We had such a good day!  Logan and Maggie did super!  The took short naps at different times so I got to hold both of them a lot!  They didn't want to eat at the same time which was really nice for me.  They rolled all over the place!  They both talked to each other.  We had such a great day!

My Mag Pie is rolling everywhere!  She really wants to crawl, but she just can't figure it out yet.  She wiggles and moves all over the place.  I always knew she was a wiggle worm!  She can hold herself up so well now and she can sit up for a long time, too!  She is the sweetest baby!  

 

This is what happens if you don't buckle her in her chair.  She will wiggle right out!  (Don't worry I always buckle her in I just wanted to get a picture of her wiggling!)  

I guess that is all for tonight! 

SpRiNg!!!

Hooray for Spring!!!  We are LOVING this weather!!!  Maybe not the wind, but the sunshine... YES!!!  On the way to school Hunter has been thanking God for the sunshine!  I LOVE to listen to his sweet prayers to our GREAT God!  Thank you Lord for such a sweet boy who already has a heart for you!  

So what have we been doing every chance we get...

We have been having lots of picnics!  We all Love it!

Maggie likes to play and watch us eat. :)  She is such a sweet baby! 

We are so thankful for our house with a great back porch!  We eat outside all the time!  Thank you Lord for this wonderful house with a great backyard and porch. 

Maggie has been laughing and laughing!  She has been giggling like crazy!  We found out last night she loves to jump on the bed with Hunter.  She thought that was just the funniest thing!  We are so blessed!  She is such a happy baby!  She is sitting up by herself now and talking up a storm.  We love her so much!

So here it is, the rare post from the patriarch of the happy family:
I was sitting at my desk on Thursday going through my mental checklist of the tasks I needed to complete for the day when I came to a point where everything that needed to be addressed was taken care of and I could either start a new time consuming project that would spill over into Friday or use the last few minutes for what I like to call "professional development".   What I call professional development you may consider browsing on youtube.com, but I really am trying to better myself as an employee through watching photoshop tutorials.

Anyway this is what I learned!

It wasn't too hard so I did a few more...

They aren't perfect, but I am happy with how they look and thankful to expand my Photoshop repertoire.

What a crazy week!

This has been a busy, busy week to say the least.  I could blog about it, but instead here are some pics from today.  It was such a beautiful day!  We had to go outside!!  It was very windy, but we had a good time!

After naps Maggie was playing under her play gym and Hunter decided to play with her.  I really wish I could've gotten a really good picture of this.  It was so sweet!  They both were laughing at each other and talking.  Maggie was holding Hunter's hand and he was loving it!  We need a video camera. :)  Here are some of the pictures...

has it really been 5 months??!?

I can't believe my sweet Maggie girl is 5 months old today!!!  Since I left my camera in Gainesville here is the the most recent picture...

She weighs 14 lbs (50% on the growth chart) and is 23 1/2 in. long (25% on the growth chart).  She loves her hands and toes.  She can sit up for a little while by herself.  You just have to sit behind her because she might push herself back.  Hunter is her favorite and her best!  She is always smiling at him! :)  She is finally starting to grow out of her 0-3 months clothing.  She is doing amazing!  We are so blessed!!!!  WE LOVE YOU MAGGIE ROSE!!!

Ohh NO!!!

I forgot my...

in Gainesville.  It was plugged into the kitchen wall charging so I could take pictures this week. =(  I'm so sad!  I also wanted to show everyone pictures from the snow.  Yes, you read right!  It SNOWED on Saturday night in Gainesville.  It only snowed about 2 inches but the wind was sooooo bad there were 2 foot drifts at my parents house!  I didn't think I was going to be able to leave to come home on Sunday!  The hardest part of the trip was the drive way!  Coach was right!  I guess it's how their house sits on that hill.  It was crazy!! Anyway... we made it home just fine.  We were sooo glad to see Daddy!!!  He and Uncle Richard made it home about an hour after us.  Ben had a great time!  I'm so glad he got to go! But I am so happy to have him home!  

This week is Business Expo for Ben so he is going to be very busy!  The good new... we don't have any plans for the weekend!!  Yay!  Oh how I LOVE weekends at home!
