Some fun on Saturday!

This past Saturday was the Joseph Thomas Memorial Triathlon at Primetime.  Ben is friends with the family and went out to help the kids.  Hunter, Maggie and I came out a little later that morning.  Hunter got to bowl for the first time!  He was so excited!  He got to wear the bowling shoes and everything.

He had a lot of fun bowling!  He also got to play ski ball, but I think he liked bowling the best.  At the end of the day he wanted a "rolling drink".  They had a drink you could get that came in a bowling pin glass.  He was so excited to get a "rolling drink"! 

Later that afternoon Hunter went to have fun and play with the kids from our life group.  The Hoes offered to keep our kids that afternoon and feed them.  It was so sweet of them to open their home up to our kids so that we could have a little time with out kids.  Hunter had a blast!  We LOVE our life group and the Hoes!  They are an incredible blessing!!!  We are going to have to repay the favor! :)

We ended the evening watching some of the Olympics.  We didn't realize how much Hunter enjoyed the speed skating until he got up and started "skating" around the living room with his hands behind his back just like on tv.  He even put one hand down on the ground when making turns.  He is precious!!  The Lord is so good!  We are so blessed! :)

Daddy's Home!!!!

We are all excited about Fridays because it's the weekend and Daddy is HOME!!!  This Friday was no exception!  We were so glad to have Daddy home!  We played a lot in Maggie's room as soon as Daddy walked in the door.  Here are a few pics! 

Hunter loves to tackle Daddy.  They also play the "blue ghost"game.  We have this blue sheet that they both get under.  Sometimes it is a ghost and sometimes it's a dragon skin.  It just depends on the day.  But Hunter LOVES to play with the blue sheet!

Hunter does this all the time both with Mommy and Daddy!  It is soo funny! :)

What else has Hunter been doing lately?  He has been bringing us all presents (they are all make believe).  We must open then right then and there and then he tells us what they are.  Most of the time its a new camera for Daddy, an ipod for Momma, and a "tiny teddy bear" for Maggie Pie!  He also says "tomonnow".  As in "we can do that tomonnow, Momma".  So sweet!  

After Hunter went to bed I decided to take some pics of Maggie Rose.  We haven't taken many naked pictures lately.  Here is a sweet one!  She is wearing her tu-tu.

What a great day!!!! =)

Okay for some of you this post might be a little graphic... but HUNTER POOPED IN THE POTTY TODAY!!!!

I know if you don't have kids that might not sound like a big deal, but let me tell you it is HUGE!  He has been doing so well peeing in the potty, but has been scared to go #2.  He needed to go so bad this morning... so we sat in the bathroom for about 2 hours total!  Can i just tell you that I really wanted the bathroom floor to be carpeted today?!?!  I have always thought carpet in the bathroom is gross (you know cleaning it and stuff... yuck!) but today I really wish I could have been sitting on nice carpet instead of cold, yucky tile.  My hiney was frozen by the time we were done.  I really think he would have been done a lot quicker, but he wanted to finish watching 'The Tigger Movie' on my ipod.  Which by the way is my favorite thing...my ipod that is not the tigger movie.  I don't know what we would do without it!  It has helped him in the bathroom and when we are at the doctors office or at a restaurant.

I love you Ipod!  Thank you Ben for getting me this!  

After dinner we took Hunter to Target to get him his toy we had been promising.  We had been telling him for weeks if he pooped in the potty we would go let him pick a toy at Target.  Here is what he picked (well Daddy actually found it and I think secretly wanted it himself)...

It roars and chomps on his bone.  Hunter was SUPER excited.  He carried it all around the store and then told the check out lady all about it.  He couldn't wait to get it home so he could feed him his bone.  He wanted to sleep with it tonight, but I talked him into letting Spike sleep on the bottom bed.  He covered him up with a blanket and everything.  

We are so proud of Hunter!  I am so glad he is getting out of diapers, but at the same time I am a little sad.  He is growing up.  He is not the baby anymore.  He really is a big boy!  Thank you Lord for blessing us with Hunter!  God is so GOOD!

Mag Pie

What is Maggie doing... (I feel like I'm always talking about Hunter so here is a post about Maggie)

Maggie is doing super!  She is sleeping most of the night.  She likes to smile (mostly at Hunter).  She loves to sit in Daddy's lap.  She likes to watch Hunter run and play.  She loves her bouncy chair and her exersaucer.  She really likes to kick her socks off!  She also likes to kick off her blanket! :)  She likes for her mommy to hold her.  (Her Mommy likes it, too!)  She loves to stunt!!!  We have started stunting with her some.  She loves it!  Well at least I hope she loves it.  She does high Vs all the time.  (Some people say she is stretching, but we know she is really doing a cheerleading high V!)  She is talking ALL the time.  We LOVE the noises she makes!  She also "prays" a lot.  She is always playing with her hands.  The other day Hunter said, "Look, Maggie is praying".  She growing to fast!  I want her to stay little! :)  I LOVE YOU MAG PIE! =)

That's right... HUNTER IS USING THE POTTY!!!!  

I was really starting to think that Maggie was going to beat him to it! =)  He has been doing so well, but today he is at school.  I'm praying that everything is going okay.  

We are also looking for a new home for Mack our dog. :( 

( he is MUCH bigger now!)

That's right... Ben put an ad in the paper on Friday.  We had a lady come by yesterday, but no luck.  He needs a big yard and someone to play with him everyday.  We are sad, but know this is what needs to be done.  It will be better for him and us as well. 

On a happier note...

 

This is the book we are reading as a church.  It is AWESOME!!  We are so excited to see what God is going to do at our church, in our life group and with our family.  God is so good! :)

Hunter and his funny sayings...

I really need to start writing down the funny things Hunter says and does.  So I think I'm just gonna start blogging about them... I might be here a lot.  He does some really funny things!  Such a sweet boy!  

So you might be wondering why Donald Duck???  It's Hunter's new thing he says... "Hey, What's the big idea!?!?!" =)  He has started saying this all the time!  It makes me laugh!  Thank you Donald! :)

Ohh and he likes the Boom Boom Pow song.  It was on G Force (the Disney movie) and now he goes around singing, "Boom Boom Pow".  It's funny, but now you know why I only listen to Air 1 in the car.  He picks up on everything! :)

By the way this is the time Maggie woke up last night/morning!!!! Yes... 5:30!!!! Wow!  She is doing so great sleeping in her room!  I have been afraid to tell everyone in fear that she will start getting up every hour again, but I think we are safe now!  She went to bed last night at about 10:30 and didn't wake up until 5:30!  She gave me a BIG smile when I came into her room!  I LOVE, LOVE this little girl!
