Gingerbread House 2013

Last night for our advent activity we made our traditional gingerbread house!
It's one of my favorite things we do every year and we had such a fun time last night!

before...

I should have looked at last years house, because the roof is almost the exact same thing.  Boo!  Next year we'll do something new! :)

Maggie loved every minute!

Hunter was so excited about the Christmas tree he made!  He did such a great job!

Yes, Maggie is wearing a summer dress.  It is her absolute favorite.  I told her after church she could wear it in the house only.  She was so, so excited!  She has really missed all of her summer dresses.  She is just not a pants/jeans girl.  Give her a dress!

Archer was so cute!
When we make our house, I always have M&Ms for the kids to eat while they are decorating.  We tell them not to eat the other candy.  Archer did okay... he didn't really eat the decorating candy.  He just licked it all! lol :)

As you can see he...

The funniest thing he did last night was he was playing with some of the green fondant and Ben asked him what he was making.  He said, "I making a bouncy ball!"  It was just so cute!  Love that boy!

Let's all take a picture with the gingerbread house...
Yay Maggie!

Way to go Hunter!

Yep... he is two.  He does not want in any pictures at this time.  Oh well...

Our finished house.

Isn't she a beauty?!? lol :)
We had so much fun!  Just wait... in 10 years our house will be amazing!

After baths we read one of our favorite Christmas books, Mortimer's Christmas Manger.  We read it every year after we make our gingerbread house.  It's a cute one!
